Kelly Ripa Runs 26.2 Miles In Heels
Kelly Ripa (shown here with pink-shirted co-host Regis beside her), led a marathon of well-heeled women to raise money for the March of Dimes. Kelly, who was quite proud of the event, said:
Completing 26.2 miles in running shoes is nothing — try spending a full day running errands, taking the kids to school and shopping, all in 4-inch heels. Our ‘High Heel-A-Thon’ is a way of showcasing a unique unsung talent for which most women are never recognized.
Just look at those shoes, they look like they have reinforced steel in them. Notice the thick heel — no itty bitty ones that could snap in half, please!
The winner hauled her cash prize of $50,000 home to Queens, NY, well worth the grueling ordeal.
