First Bar Inside World’s Oldest Tree
A bar inside a 6,000 year-old South African Baobab tree? Yes, and one with its own cellar. Actually, owner Heather van Heerden’s outfit was what caught my eye, but I thought she had a pretty good story, too. The tree is located on her Sunland Farm, which boasts resort-like settings. Inside the tree is a watering hole that seats 15 people (max 54 people squished together), a dart board and telephone. Nice vacation destination—it attracts 7,000+ thirsty tourists a year.
