I went to Rachael’s Supastar fashion runway show on October 14, and I had so much fun! Alas, my camera is not the kind photographers use; I need to get a professional camera. But here they are.

I arrived at the studio an hour early, and the show started an hour late. But I’m so glad that it did, because I got to hang out back stage, where the models were preparing to walk the runway. I also had the opportunity to meet and make some friends, and take photographs of guests on the red carpet. I was seated in the front row, which was advantageous for me as a guest, but not as good for me as a photographer, but I did the best I could. Seated next to me on both sides were an actress, a fine artist, and a screenwriter. Two of them were women, and both wore a dress designed by Rachael. Rachael began the show with a dramatic entrance, lifted up on a platform by four well-muscled male models. She didn’t appear again until the end of the show. The mens’ fashion segment elicited the most laughs and giggles from guests, especially when someone yelled out, “stop!” and a male model obliged in the middle of the runway. An uproarious laughter ensued. I really liked the fur and animal skin coats that some of the men wore with their jeans.

Everything was for sale, including the clothes worn by the models, and for a good price. In the end I bought one dress that was my style of fabric, which actually fit when I tried it on at home. At first my husband thought that it might be too large, but, as I suspected, it fit perfectly. The skirt was a bit shorter than what I was used to, maybe a bit too short for work but perfect for a night out. Now I just had to get some high heels to go with the dress!

Unfortunately, none of my friends could come with me, but I wish they could have, because the show was a blast!
